Le premier cru classé bordelais a été plébiscité à l’issue du concours Best Wine of the World initié par Fine Wine Magazine et la plateforme TastingBook
Une distinction de plus pour Château Mouton Rothschild. Le millésime 2018 de ce premier cru classé bordelais vient d’être classé meilleur vin du monde (best wine of the world) à l’issue de la nouvelle édition du concours initié par Fine Wine Magazine et la plateforme TastingBook.
BWW- Best Wine of the World 2021 Competition’s Winners have been selected – the Best wine in the world is Château Mouton-Rothschild 2018BWW-The Best Wine of the World-competition is the larges and by far the toughest wine competition on this planet. Unlike any other industry competition, only 1% of the wines involved will be awarded.The BWW2021 competition was held in the world’s largest wine information service – tastingbook.com. 20.675 wines received in total over 3 million votes votes from 190.000 wine professionals and wine lovers from 115 countries during the voting period.After the voting period, the 100 wines with the most votes in each category reached the finals, organized in December 2020 in Helsinki. In the Finals the wines were evaluated and ranked two different times as blind by the panels of tastingbook professionals (selected judges from over 11.000 Pros: wine writers, bloggers, MW’s, sommeliers etc.)The six main categories included red wine, white wine, rose wine, sparkling wine, fortified wine and champagne. Under each category, the best wines were also awarded according to price level and country. Pendant trois mois, cette dernière a fédéré les votes des internautes : plus de 190 000 professionnels et passionnés de vin de 115 pays différents ont voté. Soit près de trois millions de suffrages exprimés pour 204 675 vins différents. Après cette période de vote, les 100 meilleurs de chaque catégorie ont été jugés lors de deux dégustations à l’aveugle réalisées par des professionnels.
A ce petit jeu, c’est donc Mouton Rothschild millésime 2018 qui a obtenu le prix le plus convoité, celui de meilleur vin du monde. L’étiquette de ce millésime 2018 a été réalisé par l‘artiste contemporain chinois Xu Bing.
