Starting this weekend….Bordeaux Food Truck festival !

The concept of the festival is to allow food-lovers to easily pair street-food and wine in magical spaces in Bordeaux and its wine region. In 2018, the first edition of the tour gathered more than 10 000 visitors. I went and it was a really enjoyable experience !

In 2019, the festival tour will consist of 5 events in beautiful spots in and around Bordeaux: Château de Portets (June 1st and 2nd), Château Castera (July 19th through July 21st), Maison du Vin de Pauillac (August 10th and 11th), Château de Rayne Vigneau (September 7th and 8th) and Hippodrome de Bordeaux (Horse Race Course) on September 28th and 29th.

On September 28th, in Bordeaux race Course, a jury made of professionals and popular people from the Bordeaux Food scene (the biggest caterer, a famous Chef, a Chocolate Maker, a cocktail maker, etc.) will elect the best Food-Truck of the year during the grand finale gathering the 16 best trucks of the season. Visitors will be invited to vote at each event of the season to qualify the best trucks.

On September 29th, the Bordeaux Food Truck Festival will attempt to beat the Guinness World Record of the biggest Food-Truck rally in the world with 158 food-trucks to beat. This attempt will allow to raise funds for the non-profit organization: “Action against Hunger”. This last event is called “Food-Truck Coeur”. Coeur means heart in French and food-truck-coeur is pronounced food-trucker, meaning the owner of a food truck.

In order for adults to enjoy food and wine tasting, Kids Games Areas will be organized. A full entertainment program is also offered including concerts, DJ Set, Escape game, guided tours, etc.
