Salon ViniBIO in Bordeaux (14-16th June 2019) : a little Tour de France of organic wines

3 full days to discover (and taste obviously !) organic wines from different regions in France. This little Tour de France kept me really busy I assure you…

1) LA CORSE (CORSICA) : DOMINIQUE

L’Authentique : Blue wine from Corsica

2) L’Alsace : FAMILLE GREINER

I tasted the whole range ! Pinot gris, Gewurztraminer, Riesling…etc…

3) LE rOUSSILLON : MAS DELMAS AVEC MARIE ET PIERRE

So many interesting wines that all I can say is : GO VISIT THEM !!! You will not be dissapointed !

Mas Delmas – 29 Avenue du Stade, 66600 Rivesaltes

6) L’AGENAIS : domaine de quissat : AGATHE & Romaric

The friendly Agathe will make you discover her wines, in particulaur a tasty & fresh rosé, a MUST for your Apéritifs this summer.

7) LE PERIGORD : domaine rOUILLatS

OUTSKIRTS OF BORDEAUX, EVENTUALLY !!!!!

8) Wines OF BORDEAUX & ENTRE DEUX MERS : vignobles simonneau

As a pioneer in the field they have produced organic wines since 1970, just for almost 50 years !!

Château Morlan-Tuilière – Simonneau & Fils – 2 Place du Lavoir, 33760 Saint-Pierre-de-Bat https://www.morlan-tuiliere.com/en/

AND AT LAST….BUT NOT LEAST ! My “Coup de coeur” : An English woman in Bordeaux….for “Non hangover” and tasty wines, which is just what I need.

9) CHATEAU DE MONTFAUCON (33) : NOBODY’S PERFECT !

Dawn JONES COOPER

From her boat on the Thames in London Dawn has now settled in Génissac (33420) for 14 years now. She produces a wide range of white wines only (which is not common in Bordeaux) under her brand name Nobody’s perfect. It is all Biodynamic agriculture.

She has a beautiful 100% Chardonnay, also a 100% Muscadelle, and many other wines including a blend Sauvignon/Sémillon/Muscadelle… She also produces a Bordeaux Pétillant (sparkling wine).

I really need to go on site, visit the property and make a little report for you all about biodynamic agriculture with a lovely English lady !

Bordeaux pétillant. Le Pétillant is a sparkling white wine, made using the traditional “methode champenoise”, allowing secondary fermentation in the bottle to produce a naturally sparkling wine with just enough fizz to savour and enjoy at the Perfect Moment…
