Restaurant near Capucins market in Bordeaux

And now (from 19th May) we can go back to the restaurant !!

This Restaurant is located just opposite the Capucins market which you should absolutely visit as you will find a lot of French and Bordelaise specialities (oysters, foie gras, meat, cheese..). Do not pay much attention to the outside of the restaurant (yes it is a bit of a rough environment) inside it is a lovely typical Brasserie. The food is of good quality, they supply themselves directly from the market so very fresh ! You can taste typical French meat like Entrecôte de Boeuf, Magret de Canard, Jarret de Porc, Andouillette and also go for fish and the unavoidable oysters from Marennes Oléron, my favorites ! and even though we have oyster in Bassin d’Arcachon…

The price is very good value for money: (17,50€ for starter + main course OR main course + dessert and 22,50€ for the whole menu). I had the best French fries ever ! In addition, the owner who I had a chat with, is very friendly. A really nice lunch.

From 10 a.m. you can enjoy a coffee or, from 6 p.m., a glass of wine or a cocktail with an aperitif board. Upstairs there is a room with an English pool table, which can be privatized on booking. If you search for a place to watch sporting events and/or listen to music then it is also the right choice !
